Lotis is an operational resilience consultancy and platform business founded by Bob Smart. We work with financial services firms and critical infrastructure operators across Australia to give their boards the confidence to recover — and govern AI — within tolerance.
Why Lotis exists
Most operational resilience programs are built on what management believes to be true about how their operations work. Those beliefs are usually broadly right — but the gaps matter. And the gaps only show up when something goes wrong.
Lotis was founded to close those gaps before they become incidents. To build resilience programs on validated operational intelligence, not management assertions. And to give consultancies the platform they need to do that work at scale.
AZON 360 and the SPLITer methodology are the tools we built to make that possible.
Founder
Bob Smart is an operational resilience consultant and thought leader based in Adelaide, South Australia. He has worked with financial services firms, critical infrastructure operators and their regulators across Australia, advising on operational risk, CPS 230, SOCI Act compliance, and cyber security.
His cyber security advisory work covers ISO 27001, AESCSF and CPS 234 — typically as a virtual CISO for CIOs and CEOs who need senior cyber leadership without a full-time hire.
Bob created the SPLITer methodology and built AZON 360 to give consultancies a scalable, repeatable approach to operational resilience engagements. The goal was simple: produce the evidence that boards and APRA actually need, from the documents clients already have.
